The most compact mountain Backpacking gilet

Feather origin
Thanks to our traceability system, we can guarantee the origin of the feathers, which are sourced in accordance with our responsible material commitments. Our suppliers are committed to using only feathers that come from ducks that are bred for their meat and are plucked after slaughtering.
Fill power of the down/feather filling
This 85% down / 15% feather down gilet has a guaranteed fill power of 800 CUIN. The fill power is a measure of the down's thermal insulation capacity and its potential to "trap" a certain volume of air. Down with higher fill power (a higher CUIN number) takes up more space, trapping more air and providing greater thermal insulation.
Weight of the filling
XS: 2.6 oz S: 2.8 oz M: 3 oz L: 3.2 oz XL: 3.5 oz 2XL: 3.7 oz 3XL: 4 oz
The advantages of a duck down and feather filling*
The down's long-lasting fill power gives it 3 important qualities for hiking: - Thermal insulation thanks to the air trapped in the down and feathers - Ultra-lightweight: with equal warmth, feather is lighter than synthetic padding. This saves even more weight in your backpack - Ultra-compressible
Care advice for a gilet filled with down and feathers.
The gilet can be worn throughout the winter and will certainly need to be washed. Follow the instructions by clicking the link below:
The advantages of a gilet
A gilet keeps the body warm: it protects the chest, neck and lower back from the cold, as these areas are especially sensitive to the cold. Because it is sleeveless, it saves weight in the backpack and is even more breathable when making a physical effort and is extremely comfortable in movement when worn under a jacket. Worn underneath the TREK 500 jacket, it can provide 11°F extra warmth when compared to a down jacket worn without gilet.
In the event of rain
This gilet's fabric is water-repellent. It allows drops of water to slide off the fabric, which delays penetration of water into the gilet while you get out of the rain. But the gilet is not waterproof. We therefore recommend wearing a waterproof jacket over the gilet in the event of prolonged exposure to rain.
A score for comparing products' environmental impact
